What is your name and what do you do?
My name is Oluremi Martins. I am the Founder of Natural Girl Wigs, a textured hair company
that provides protective wigs for black women. I am also the creator of The E-commerce
Collective, an online community that teaches entrepreneurs the business of e-commerce.
When are you most inspired and what inspires you?
I get inspired in different ways and from various things; being alone, watching and listening
to others, I find that even when I teach or help others I get inspired by them.
How do you relax and unwind after a long day?
These days, I like to watch something to escape reality like escapist reality shows, TikTok
content that is lifestyle-based and soothing..anything that helps me relax
What does self care mean to you?
As it translates, it's just me doing things for myself, which makes me feel peace, makes me
relax. For me, being alone with lighted candles and a cool room is self-care, drinking coffee I
brewed, using this lavender pillow spray I’m currently obsessed with, and having time to
myself without care or anxiety about tasks I have to complete. It can really be deeper than
this on some days, but that's the basis.
What will you say is your biggest achievement in your career?
My biggest achievement is building the life that I want. It's still a work in progress but I'm
thankful to be able to do this.

What is your word for the month?
My word for the month of January is doing; because it's the first month of the year, it's
important I start DOING.. just so it sets the pace for the rest of the year. Whether I'm doing
things halfway or fully. I want to leave perfectionism behind and just do things.
What is your favorite time of day?
The morning. Typically, the hours when I'm back from the gym and 12:00 pm
Whats your favorite thing about 1964 ?
1964 feels different for me, it is beyond a brand & it feels like it has a soul to it. The brand
understands the customer & provides comfort in its pieces whether you are going to the
office, or working from home.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
I have received a lot of good advice but my favourite is to learn to do hard things; it builds
muscles, strength, resilience and efficiency.
Everything is hard, and that we do them frequently doesn't make it any less hard but if you
are able to do new hard things, you're automatically above average and shape your mind
differently.
